Hi, I'm curtismchale 👋

Why did you sign up for the Faith-Based Productivity community?

While I have faith, I admit to not thinking all that much about what faith and productivity mean together.

What is your church background?

Almost weekly. My wife is on the leadership team at church and I’m on the board at the local bible college.

What is your biggest struggle?

It all comes down to continuing to make the right connections with others to help me amplify my reach. My productivity routine is good…at least I like to think that.

What is your favorite book (and why)?

Deep Work, it was just a big “oh yeah that’s what I’ve been thinking” when i read it

Are you a Mac or a PC?

I’m a Mac

Welcome, @curtismchale!

The idea of tying the two together didn’t really hit me until about a year ago. Since then, @mikeschmitz has really pushed me to see them as one and the same. It really changes the way you approach things daily.

So the hard question: do you set aside four hours a day for deep work? One hour?

Welcome @curtismchale  Loved working with you at AE, glad you’re here!

(Everyone else, go check out his book!)

I do 2 three hour chunks of deep work 4 days a week. I call it The Mullet Method and I wrote about it here: https://curtismchale.ca/2017/11/28/mullet-method-deep-work/
